Therefore I Have Hope Lamenting Before God (Lamentations 3) Have you ever lamented to God? I have. 2025 was a year of lamenting for me. I spent my days in bed with constant pain and suffering. I pray a lot during such times and recite Scripture verses that give me hope. I remind myself that 'hope does not disappoint' (Romans 5:5). One day, during that time, I was looking up a Scripture passage for a friend who told me that I had quoted it to her. I could not remember which Scripture verse I had quoted. I thought it was Lamentations 3: 21-23. As I read the words, 'therefore I have hope', my hope was renewed on a day that felt hopeless. I read all of Lamentations chapter 3 and lamented to God about my suffering that day, knowing that in spite of all I was going through He is, and will be, faithful to keep His many promises to me. I was reminded of God's steadfast love, the newness of His mercies every morning, and His faithfulness at night, as it is reflected in sunrise and sunset. Did I say I love how the sunrise lights up the trees outside my window in the morning and the 180 degrees sunset I see each evening? They are daily reminders of a faithful God. ----------------------------------------------------------- Hope: For the Lunch 'N Learn On Tuesday March 10th. We need foot soldiers to get on the phone and overwhelm the offices of our parliamentarians. Leave as many messages as possible. Do it for the next generation. Don't let your grandkids ask WHY you did not stand up to protect their freedom. Advertise it in your church. For The End of MAID Read this and weep. This is OUR CANADA. They have sanitized murder. 'Thou shalt not murder' was never repealed by God. Health Canada says this about its service: Assisted dying as a treatment choice became legal in the Criminal Code in June of 2016 and underwent legislative changes in March of 2021. Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) – Scarborough Health Network . This is how they make murder/suicide seem normal and compassionate. And this is where we are since MAID began.
