He was really a king
Recently, I noticed how Matthew Chapter 1 broke up the record of Christ's genealogy in sections:
- from Abraham to King David;
- from King David to Jeconiah at the time of the captivity;
- and even in captivity, diligent records were kept from Jeconiah to 'Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ,' (verse 16)
He was a king Who was born in a stable.
Philipians 2:5-8 has taken on a new meaning for me.
May the humility of Christ, the excitement of the shepherds, and the diligence of the wise men in seeking Jesus, fill your hearts this day, and every day.
May you live in awe and wonder at the humility of Christ, and seek to live like Him.
Merry Christmas from ChristianRoots Canada.
Blessings.
