And truth be told, I haven't begun to scratch the surface of Christians who were millionaires, who were Methodists, who all attended the Sherbourne Street Methodist Church, the Church that was known as 'The Millionaires' Church. The history of our trading relationships worldwide is being rewritten in interesting ways. In response to the US government's tariff impositions, Mark Carney held an International Investment Summit where he claimed the investors in the room represented 120 trillion dollars in investment. He has since told his caucus that half a trillion dollars of investment came out of that Summit. Obfuscation In his opening speech at the Investment Summit, he claimed that Samuel de Champlain sailed from France to a safe harbour called Port Royal - as if that was his destination. He left out important information. Carney 'fudges' on his knowledge of Canadian history. That's the obfuscation! Before Samuel de Champlain reached a safe harbour, he first miscalculated his first 'safe harbour', settling on St. Croix Island, which saw the death of 35 of the 79 first settlers. THEN they moved over the Bay of Fundy to Port Royal. What they thought was a first 'safe harbour' was anything but. Big. Boldfaced. Lie. Obfuscation He modified history to suit his purposes. But Canadians, and the foreigners who gathered there, do not know Canadian history. I am not sure if any news service corrected him...yet. Read about Samuel de Champlain's foray into Canada as a cartographer, navigator and observer on behalf of King Henry IV. He never sailed straight to a 'harbour' called Port Royal. History being made With the US, what used to be called the Reciprocity Treaty many decades ago had morphed into NAFTA when Brian Mulroney was Prime Minister of Canada. It became the USMCA, and now it is stalled... with Mark Carney running into the arms of the EU!! And granted a status in the EU that has never been established - Associate Membership!! Nevertheless, if you listen to his speech, you will hear that he and his EU Ambassador had been developing plans for such an association long before the EU speech. Carney has said from Day 1 that Canada is the most European non-European country. So I listened to his 'acceptance' speech in the EU. And guess what I found out?
It looks like he is running Canada like his own private company - Brookfield Investments. No disChurchns because 'The Boss said so'. Is this the One World Order at play? As a treat, watch the Representative from Italy, Afrodite Latinopoulou and what she had to say about decisions taken by Ursula Von Der Leyen to destroy the sovereignty of member countries. Are these the shared values with the EU that Carney touts? IF what Mark Carney said to his caucus before the beginning of Parliament on Monday, September 21st, is true, thousands of jobs are being created, and investments are being made. I am sure you would find many conflicts of interest, because that is what the Liberal Government does. In fact, after the Investment Summit, Brookfield Investment Mark Carney's business interests came up many times. Maybe a simple internet search might reveal how many projects Brookfield is investing in because of the Investment Summit. ----------------------------------- Egg In My Face I Was Wrong... I stumbled spiritually by using Cyrus as my Biblical parallel to Carney. James 3:2 says, 'For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.' I should not have likened PM Carney to Cyrus. Currently, he is acting more like a Nebuchadnezzar archetype than a Cyrus, raised to bring judgment on Canada. Is it because the Church abandoned the public sphere and failed to raise up a generation of believers who would be defenders of the faith? I believe in God's providence. Daniel 2 states unequivocally that God is the one who sets up and takes down nations. God may not have appointed Carney personally, but he allowed him to be chosen. For the last 36 years that I have been in Canada, I have observed, as a new immigrant in Toronto, how the Church corporate failed to stand up to the gradual incursion of the woke agenda. So maybe Carney is a Nebuchadnezzar. God's judgment is sure on those who choose to do evil all the time, as in the days of Noah. Nevertheless, I hope you can acknowledge my point that what Carney is doing about removing the trade barriers between provinces should have been done for Canada by other politicians decades ago, because of the US's equivocation over a period of 174 years.
