Bubble Wrap, Blessings & Biographies

Bubble Wrap

It had been a long time... Too long, if you ask me.

Yes. I have been incommunicado for a month! I can't believe it!

I have been lost in bubble wrap and packing paper. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. The rest of the condo is 'almost perfect', except the office. This is what it looks like.

It is getting better. Maybe by next week there will be an improvement. At least I can see floor space.

Blessings

  1. 'I'll come to tell the mighty deeds that God the Lord has done.

And I'll declare your righteousness, I'll speak of yours alone.

Oh God I have been taught by you from early days of youth,

And all the wonders you have done I still declare as truth.

2. And even when I'm old and grey, Oh God, forsake me not,

Until your strength and power I have each generation taught.

For God, your righteousness extends beyond the heights we view,

And You have done such wondrous things, O God who is like you?

My pastor and a few friends sang this Psalm (Psalm 71) with my husband and I last Saturday, as we gave thanks for God's great gift of our new home. We also dedicated this home to the Lord's service.

Many of you know of my trials with health issues that have gone on and on, and I am not out of the woods yet. I have struggled to climb stairs with each new bout of health issues.

We've been praying for a 1-level home that we can afford. The Lord in His faithfulness has provided a beautiful, spacious, condo for us.

Those of you who are friends with my husband on Facebook, have read about, and seen photos of this amazing blessing.

Each day, I am finding new conveniences that keep my heart spontaneously singing praises out of gratitude to my God who answers prayers. We can say with the Apostle Paul, that this is 'beyond anything we can think, or ask, or desire'.

So expect me to pickup where I left off sooner than later. I have saved many videos of current events in the meantime, while I was laying in bed with my tablet, exhausted from packing and unpacking. I wanted to connect but just didn't have the strength.

Biographies

The first Monday in August, cities, especially across Ontario, celebrate different statesmen who have made valuable contributions to our country. You can see the list of celebrities for Ontario here. Many of them were Christians.

This year, we are focussing on the first Liberal Prime Minister - Alexander Mackenzie.

Those were the days when the Liberal Party was led by its Christian founders - George Brown and Alexander Mackenzie. You can read Part 1 of Alexander Mackenzie here. You can listen to the podcast here.

Tomorrow, I will post Part 2 on our website, and every day until Monday, I will aim to repost the lives of those that are celebrated in other parts of the country.

Looking forward to the next post,

Until next time,

Soli Deo Gloria
