Health Issues Thank you for praying for me. I am not 'out of the woods' yet. In fact, I am still wandering around in it. I am experiencing chronic pain of unknown origin, but I think we are getting closer to a solution by a process of elimination. However, I am still largely unable to function normally. What a way to begin the year... being humbled low. I chose a word for the year to define the areas of my life in which I want to see growth. Guess which word I chose?... HUMILITY. Hmmm. Many of you know that I look to God for my strength during periods of illness. I often say, 'He maketh me to lie down so I could look up'. This past week, I came across a couple of Scripture verses from Romans 15 in my daily devotions that really encouraged me. Paul refers to God as the 'God of endurance and encouragement' (V.5), the 'God of hope' (V.13), and the 'God of peace' (V. 33). For those who are praying, those are the character qualities of God that I pray for during this trial. I ask that you pray with me for them until I am out of the woods. While in bed, I have LOTS of time to watch the newsmakers because of my premise that God uses PEOPLE, who create EVENTS that are interpreted as HISTORY. I am observing history in the making and trying to interpret it from God's perspective. I will share my thoughts with you soon. Flag Day came and went on February 15th., during this time of illness. We had a Flag Day Quiz for you which did not make it into a Broadcast. I encourage you to test your knowledge in light of citizens becoming more patriotic because of threats by our neighbours to the south. I still have some 2025 Interactive Calendars, both French and English. These calendars show almost all 25 Scripture verses from the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill. Each month, you can point your camera at a QR code that connects you with a video teaching about the Scriptures for the month. We also have suggestions in the video for HOW to pray that Scripture of the month for our government. We have a NEW colouring book in the making for you. Watch for its prototype and a poll in the next Broadcast. YOU can make your voice heard and help us determine which pages we should include for official printing. We need your feedback before we go to print. You will get a free downloadable copy of the prototype for you and your family to test drive. The new book will have the coloured pictures on one side and the page to be coloured on the other side. You will download a prototype - colouring pages that you can colour using pictures on our website. Then, you can give us feedback on two criteria: 1) the age-appropriateness of the pages (in terms of difficulty in colouring), and 2) the best pages to include in our new colouring book.
I will not be accepting bookings for Ottawa Tours until my health improves, We are preparing a downloadable Ottawa Tour Package for you that includes: an 'Ottawa Walking Tour Guide' and a book of biographies of 'Protestant Legacies in Ottawa'.
