Lunch N' Learn #6: Heroes of Vimy Ridge and Flanders Fields

What: Our 6th Lunch N' Learn

Who: Hear about two heroes, both Christians, who left enduring legacies at Vimy and at Flanders Fields.

1. Walter Seymour Allward - designed and sculpted the Vimy Memorial. In God's providence he was gifted with special skills and opportunities that merged together to result in the Vimy Memorial.

2. John McCrae - He wrote the poem, 'In Flanders Fields' after he witnessed his friend shot by German artillery. Again, in God's providence, his love of poetry and his love of country gave the world the poppy as a universal symbol to remember our veterans.
